Are Permits Needed For Sacramento?

• Permits are required in Sacramento County for every metal Carport. They will need additional diagonal bracing and possibly double legs. The price may be adjusted if additional building materials are needed.
• Carports can be installed without permits but at risk to the property owner.
• Customers can supplied with a basic set of plans. Sacramento County and West Sacramento may require advanced plans and calculations to obtain permits.
• Advanced plans and calculations are extra and paid directly to a certified engineer who will draw and provide the customer with wet-stamped plans. Plans and calcs take about 2-3 weeks to be completed after they are paid for.
• These plans are to be turned into the county along with your permit application.
• The customer is responsible for obtaining and paying for all permit costs.
